Every Wednesday when the clock strikes 8:00pm ET the tweets for the live cerebral palsy Twitter chat #CPChatNow kick into gear. Ironically the conversation does not always revolve around CP. In fact this week’s chat hardly touched upon cerebral palsy. Instead the dialogue mirrored that which you might enjoy with some close friends.
For instance, my co-host Blake Henry provided us various updates on his first semester in college.
In a development probably unforeseen by my co-host his talk about college led to 90s nostalgia.
Pogs proved a favorite throwback topic.
The live Twitter chat went on to include various other topics such as study habits and fantasy hockey advice.
Probably the closest to cerebral palsy based conversation occurred with the announcement for #CPChatNow’s September focus chat.
The link connects to the #CPChatNow Facebook page‘s post giving more details about the upcoming focus chat Wednesday, September 30th.
Time for the Extend-the-Conversation question! In preparation for our focus chat September 30th answer this. What do you find most difficult about meeting new people? Leave your response in the “Comments” section.
Our focus chat will certainly generate new ideas to lessen your difficulty.
Our guest for September 30th Katy Fetters possesses impressive accolades. She launched her blog during her teenage years, hence the name Teen Cerebral Palsy. In 2012 the television show Live Life and Win! featured Katy. A year later in 2013 United Cerebral Palsy National honored Katy with their “Outstanding Youth Award.” This past May she graduated Soka University of America. Quite a resume for someone only in her early 20s!
Before we get to September 30th though the train known as #CPChatNow maintains a couple more stops. Tonight we hold our monthly Google Hangout. Please DM me on Twitter for information on receiving the invite. I hope to see you tonight!
